Tadofa Somalis

A Little Bit of Mischief....Lots of Love

Kitten / Cat Availability

All cats and kittens purchased from Tadofa Somalis are sold with a written contract to protect both you, the purchaser, and ourselves. We believe in upholding our end of contracts, and expect others to do the same. If you do not feel that you can uphold your end of a written contract, we suggest that you look elsewhere for a kitten or cat. This is not to say that we are inflexible with our contracts -- we know situations arise, and as long as it is discussed with us prior to any action taking place, we have generally been willing and able to arrive at an agreeable compromise.

Our contract does not permit our cats or kittens to be allowed outdoors unattended, declawed, or given to a research facility, animal shelter, or similar facility. It also covers our health and genetic guarantees, guarantees that our cats and kittens are healthy, Feline Leukemia (FeLV) and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) negative, and gives us first right of refusal should you, for any reason, decide that you can no longer keep your Tadofa Somali. If you would like more information on our contracts, please e-mail us.

Our prices include the neuter or spay, all vaccinations, a kitten kit, one year membership into Somali Breeders and Fanciers' Association, Inc., and a health and genetic guarantee. We will ship, within limits, preferring direct flights if shipping is necessary. Our cats and kittens are part of our family, and new owners become part of our "extended family." Most owners find they need a second Tadofa Somali to join their family!

Kittens are born in our bedroom, and are handled many times a day (who can help but!). This helps ensure proper socialization and development. Once they have received their first vaccines, they have run of the house. Our cats are not caged, and each boy has his own full size bedroom. The kittens even get to visit dad's quarters! We have found that the boys seem to know and recognize their kittens, and they enjoy the visits as much as mom enjoys the rest.

All attempts are made to breed our females only once every 12 - 18 months. We believe in quality as opposed to quantity, and put this philosophy into practice in our breeding program. Consequently, waiting lists are not uncommon for Tadofa Somalis - particularly for the rarer colors of blue and fawn.  If you are looking for a healthy, happy, well adjusted, quality Somali, you have come to the right place!

Kittens...

Currently, we do not have any kittens available.

If you would like more information on future kitten availability, please e-mail us.  We anticipate new litters of Somalis and Maine Coons in the Spring of 2010.  Email for more information.

Adults...

Several adult Somalis are available who are in need of good, loving homes.  Proceeds from their adoption benefit The Somali Breeders and Fanciers' Association, Inc., a charitable organization dedicated to the Somali breed, its advancement, preservation, and rescue.   SBFA is incorporated as a charitable organization, and as such contributions may be tax deductible (consult your tax advisor about your personal tax situation).   Feel free to email us to learn more about who is in need of homes. For more information on who we have available and what the special arrangements are, please e-mail us.
